30 Day Challenge: Day 2

No videos today my friends. Alivia woke up in the middle of the night with a fever as well as this morning. She is feeling really crummy and even though she said she wanted to work out with me I waited until she fell asleep so that she wouldn't know I was doing it. It's pretty cute that she wants to work out with us! She finds it fun and I hope that is something we can keep exciting for her as she gets older.

Dustin wasn't feeling it today either. He is pretty sore from the squats yesterday so he just did the sit-ups and push-ups and a handful of lunges. I think he's going to try to do a few tonight when he gets home.

I am a little sore today but I'm glad I was able to push through it and complete the work out. It's such a SHORT workout! In the past I've loved doing Jillian Michaels videos, running, swimming, and pushing my self much harder with a lot more than this so while it feels good to be doing something I can't help but be sad about the endurance I've lost. I guess the only way to fix that is to keep going right?

Maybe tomorrow everyone will be more likely to join in with me and we'll record another short little video. I just love looking back at Alivia and seeing what a doll she is. There was a little clip in the video of Alivia trying to get her arms just like mine when doing the squats, and then when she was trying to figure out how to do a sit-up, lol had I not been recording it I would have missed out on that and it was pretty cute!

By the way, here is the workout

New workout

Ok...some of you might see this and laugh but trust me when I say this is a workout for us right now. Neither the hubby nor I have been working out in a very long time so we are starting slow. In the past this would have been more of a warm up (maybe not the 50 squats) but when taking care of two little kids and just trying to keep us all alive, on a regular nap schedule and remembering to feed them...I think it's understandable that exercise has been put on the back burner.

Just when I was trying to find anything to motivate me to start working out, as well as a slow transition back into it, a friend of mine in Facebook recommended we all start a 30 Day Challenge that she saw at her gym. She offered up two options, one being very difficult (for my out of shape body) and one that's more doable. We decided that May 1st was the day we'd all get started and offer support to each other. I asked Dustin to join in with me since we could both use the exercise and since Alivia hears all and sees all...she insisted that she do it to.

I want to say right now that we don't force our 2 year old to exercise lol. She wanted to do it with us and we were happy to teach her. I decided to document the little work out session with her because as her mommy I find everything she does adorable.
